JPMorgan Chase Production Support - Low Latency in Houston, Texas

An Application Support professional's dedication to innovation is essential to what keeps our company moving and thriving. In working for this Low-Latency Equities/Stocks Trading Application, you'll get exposure to and learn about all stages of Life Cycle of a Trade. Y ou'll oversee application throughout the life cycle: Requirements gathering, Analysis, Integration testing, Production Deployment, Identifying and troubleshooting issues as needed, Plant maintenance etc.. You'll ensure that the production changes your team makes are made keeping best practices, lifecycle methodology and overall risk top of mind. Partnering with Business stakeholders, you'll be working with external clients and external exchanges for onboarding new flows. You'll dig into root cause analysis, with other Production management team, Infrastructure Service Support team members and Development teams. You'll be working with a dynamic team of trading technology specialists. You'll also draw on your experience to drive innovation and strategic changes, both within your team as well as in collaboration with team members across JPMorgan Chase & Co.'s global network of innovators.

This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

  • Proven expertise in application development and support environment with more than one technology and multiple design techniques

  • Advanced knowledge of development toolset to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain and improve software in UNIX/LINUX environment

  • Proficiency in one or more general scripting language (UNIX Shell/BASH, Perl, Python ) .

  • Knowledge of FIX and binary protocol is a plus

  • Understanding of risk controls and compliance to departmental and company-wide standards

  • Ability to work collaboratively in teams and develop meaningful relationships to achieve common goals
