Trio Electric Receptionist in Houston, Texas

Summary

The purpose of the receptionist is to provide the utmost in positive thinking, punctuality, and friendliness in customer service over the phone and in person.

Salary: $31,000-$32,000 annually

Tasks:

Customer Service

  • Welcome on-site visitors, determine nature of business, and announce visitors to appropriate personnel

  • Answer incoming calls, determine purpose of call, and forward call to the appropriate person

  • Retrieve messages from voicemail and fax and forward to appropriate personnel

  • Handle queries from the public and customers

  • Provide information to callers and visitors

  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness

  • Direct persons to correct destination

Parcels/Packages

  • Receive and sort mail, faxes, parcel packages, and office supplies

  • Coordinate shipments of parcel packages and mail via USPS, UPS, FedEx, Hotshot, and others

  • Administer special shipping and mailing requests including certified mail by operating a postage meter

Office Procedures

  • Answer the phone and operate a switchboard to connect callers to the right person

  • Take and relay messages

  • Place office supply orders

  • Execute office supply purchases within budget provided by the HR Manager

  • Maintain clean and tidy facilities including the conference rooms, kitchenette, and work space

  • Provide assistance in running copies

  • Other unlisted activities will be assigned

HR Administrative Support

  • Manage conference rooms, order lunches, etc.

  • Maintain and distribute up-to-date phone lists

  • Assist Payroll Clerk with preparing checks for distribution

  • Provide administrative support to the HR team

  • Perform other related duties as assigned

  • Administer testing for applicants/subcontractors

  • Submit applications for company awards and recognitions

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficient using computers, office machines, postage meter, and telephone switchboard

  • Experience using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Experience using a postage meter, e-fax, and copier

  • Moderate level of proficiency operating a windows-based operating system

  • Bilingual in English and Spanish required

Education & Experience

  • High school Diploma

  • Minimum of 1-2 years? experience in customer service or working in an office setting

  • Bilingual English and Spanish required.
