About the role
The primary responsibilities of this position are to support operations with rotating equipment troubleshooting, maintain all related documentation and provide technical support for operations and project designs. The Rotating Equipment Engineer will also develop and drive reliability processes, both short term and long term, to ensure company goals are met.
This engineer will own all applicable Technical Practice documents, develop operating and maintenance strategies for the equipment, mentor/teach engineers and technicians regarding rotating equipment, support Operations with troubleshooting and safe operations, and work to eliminate downtime through reliability efforts.
The role holder will:
Develop short- and long-term reliability plans for rotating equipment to increase MTBF (mean time between failures), working closely with Project and Business Development teams to align business goals.
Monitor rotating equipment performance and operation; oversee the vibration monitoring program, equipment upgrades, and overhaul the maintenance strategy.
Maintain a database of rotating equipment inventory, condition, repair history, and spare parts.
Support on-site learning and development of new engineers and on-site field technicians as needed.
Provide emergency/after-hours troubleshooting and investigation to support pipelines restarts.
Provide technical support for RCA (root cause analysis) investigations.
Support Capital Expenditure projects with design reviews and witnessing FAT (factory acceptance tests).
Determine scope for equipment overhauls at pump/motor shops as necessary, including shop visits.

You'll bring educational knowledge from having acquired a bachelor’s degree in Engineering and significant rotating equipment engineering experience. Oil & gas processing facility experience and/or being a licensed PE (Professional Engineer) would be highly beneficial for this role!
