Allied Reliability Group Sales Leader in Houston, Texas

The Sales Leader provides strategic sales leadership to enable the achievement of the company's aggressive growth strategy across all channels and customer segments. This individual is responsible for aggressively and collaboratively developing and executing the sales strategy across all markets. This person will also recommend and implement appropriate enhancements for all sales and market strategies, processes, and methodologies while being a pivotal leader in the successful launching of new products and services.

Responsibilities

  • Sales Planning and Execution

  • In collaboration with senior leadership, develop monthly, quarterly and annual revenue targets. Direct sales organization to aggressively execute sales plans and achieve targets at both individual, divisional and company levels.

  • Direct the appraisal and reporting of results of each authorized sales program against planned objectives.

  • Analyze sales and marketing information, prepare materials and deliver executive meeting presentations

  • Report significant opportunities, industry findings and competitive issues to the Divisional Leader as well as to the CEO and Leadership Team.

  • Business Growth

  • Identify, design, develop and present compelling business growth opportunities

  • Evaluate pricing, products and services to ensure the best approach to achieve profitable growth targets.

  • Achieve aggressive sales targets for both new and existing products and services.

  • Sales Strategies

  • The Sales Leader will develop and enhance the sales program, identify new product and service opportunities to deliver strategies for sales channels, customer segments and international growth opportunities.

  • In addition to leading the direct sales team, the Sales Leader will coordinate with operations leadership to provide support and tools to up sell existing clients.

  • Market Development

  • Strategically plan direct and execute participation in trade or other industry programs. Acquire and analyze competitive intelligence, providing strategic and tactical recommendations to maintain and expand market leadership.

  • Collaborate and advise with marketing function on all organizational advertising and sales promotional activities, including trade advertising, web based marketing, social media and collaterals.

  • Customer Focus

  • Drive customer satisfaction and loyalty across entire Divisional customer base.

  • Ensure all orders and other customer communications are promptly and accurately executed.

  • Proactively take appropriate action to resolve client/customer issues.

  • Expand key customer and industry relationships and conduct periodic key customer visits.

  • Process Development

  • Assess and develop key sales processes and metrics.

  • Proactively support and drive continuous process improvement, focused training and tool optimization.

  • Sales Forecasting

  • Develop, review and approve all associated sales plans and forecasts.

  • In conjunction with senior leadership team, ensure that all sales and operational planning is aligned to the enterprise strategy.

  • Ensure that sales plans are dynamically capable of addressing volatile markets and challenges.

  • Proactively adjust sales plans, client focus and targets to deliver annual revenue and booking targets.

  • Mergers and Acuqisitions

  • Oversee sales aspects of corporate acquisitions (domestic and international), including sales due diligence and post transaction integration.

  • Company Culture

  • Instrumental in driving departmental and company-wide culture and foster a positive morale to ensure alignment with company‚Äôs value drivers including growth, customer satisfaction and employee satisfaction engagement.

Professional Qualifications

  • At least 15 years of progressively responsible sales experience with at least 5 years in a sales leadership role at the Director and/or VP level. Must have a demonstrated track record of achieving profitable sales growth, positive leadership and implementation of best practices. Can demonstrate quantifiable success in selling new products and services.

  • Experience leading direct sales teams who are selling business services to large multinational industrial/manufacturing companies is strongly preferred. International sales leadership experience is also highly valued.

  • Must have very strong strategic sales leadership skills along with the ability to assess, develop and implement sales plans through multiple sales channels. The ability to lead others through creative thought leadership, functional expertise and influence management skills.

  • Must be highly organized, self-motivated and capable to effectively articulate business plans and deliver results. Must be able to develop creative approaches to drive growth strategies while leveraging internal and external resources. Must be experienced in strategic sales planning and possess a strong understanding of how to lead strategic sales implementation in a company that is evolving.

  • Experience in leading the sales side of mergers, acquisitions and integrations including due diligence and integration is highly valued.

  • Must have excellent team leadership and development skills, strong business acumen, change management acumen, project management skills and the ability to strategically lead and engage direct and indirect team members.

  • Must be able to accommodate up-to 50% overnight domestic and international travel.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required. An MBA is preferred but not required.
