Associates degree in a related field. Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Experience in Higher Education is preferred. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.
Nature & Purpose of Position/Usual Duties:
Performs advanced administrative functions for the College of Osteopathic Medicine providing administrative support for faculty within the Department of Molecular and Cellular Biology, part of the Division of Biomedical Sciences.
Primary Responsibilities (Staff Positions Only):
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties. Provides departmental or university information to students, departments, and staff. Assists in developing policies and interprets policies and procedures. Schedules appointments and activities. Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports. Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence. Orders and maintains supply inventory. Handles P-Card purchases and monitors expenses. Creates job postings, maintains the Biomedical Sciences website, reconciles travel, answers phones, and performs general clerical duties such as photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing. Serves as staff support to committees. Compiles materials, prepares and provides agendas, records and distributes minutes for meetings. Provides logistical support in setting up events, meetings, or other special functions. Performs other related duties as assigned.
