Bachelor s Degree from an accredited college or university accredited by an organization recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) or by the United States Department of Education (USDE). Major coursework in English, Journalism or Mass Communication, Education or Social Work required. Each year of experience as described below may be substituted for thirty semester hours from an accredited college or university on a year for year basis. Three years of full-time wage earning experience in any of the following areas of employment; journalism, communications, professional/technical publications, public relations, video production, education or combination of areas is preferred. Partial Responsibilities/Duties: Assist in coordinating the District s overall communication efforts. Prepare and distribute pertinent information about the activities, goals, and policies of the district to employees and stakeholders, using a variety of effective communications strategies. Coordinate and prepare brochures, newsletters, pamphlets, video productions, web submissions and other informational materials for the District. Serve as publications/communications consultant to all WSD schools and departments, including support of the district web site.
