FULL TIME - Location: 301 W. Hurst Blvd., Hurst, TX - SUMMARY:This position is responsible of the efficient manufacture of paint products within the Hurst, Texas manufacturing facility. The quantity of the products produced directly impact our customers and the success of Kelly-Moore.PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:Must be able to safely operate equipment in an efficient manner maximizing the throughputMust ensure that the products produced are of the highest qualityWill operate powered industrial trucks and man lifts to perform maintenance activitiesWill work collaboratively with Plant Management to improve work processesWill perform equipment cleaning duties as instructedWill troubleshoot machine performance issuesWill perform preventative maintenance dutiesWill maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair automated stackers, shrink wrappers, de-nesters, and liquid processing and transfer equipment. Work on pneumatic pumps, high speed dispersers, mixers, piping, forklifts and other stock equipment in a factory environment.ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITES:Operate computerized maintenance softwareWill ensure all tools are safe to perform the required workWill maintain tools in a safe operating conditionAssists Plant Management to ensure the factory meets all operational parameters and goals.Completes all required training in a timely manner.Complies with all Kelly-Moore Paint Company policies and procedures and the Collective Bargaining Agreement.Will maintain a clean work area including sweeping, mopping, and dusting.PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:Age requirement: Must be 18 years of age or older.Frequently kneels, stoops, crouches, bends, climbs, reaches overhead, pushes, pulls, and grasps.Works around heat, cold, dirt, dust, and minimal paint odors.Accurately distinguishes colors.May be required to operate powered industrial trucks such as forklifts, electric pallet jacks, etc. Frequently carries, relocates and/or lifts up to 70 pound cartons and containers (including 5-gallon paint containers).Stands and walks on concrete surfaces for up to 10 or 12 hours per day.

QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent communication skills.Ability to work under direct supervision and follow oral and/or written instructions.English language skills, including a level of reading comprehension, and written and oral language conventions ordinarily attained by receiving a high school diploma or equivalent.Math skills of number sense, measurement, and geometry, and math reasoning as are ordinarily attained by receiving a high school diploma or equivalent.Must be able to stay focused and pay attention to minute detailsA high sense of urgency to respond and react to production problemsExperience maintaining automated equipment used for assembly, packaging materials handling and bulk storage.Knowledge of the methods, materials, tools and equipment used in the electrical, plumbing, and mechanical trades.Ability to troubleshoot, identify and address the root cause of problems with the correct repair.This position requires a current skill in two or more of the following areas: 1. Electrical 2. Pump and/or meter repair 3. Welding 4. Mechanical maintenance (bearings, drives, etc.) 5. Forklift and moving stock repair 6. Facility maintenance 7. Processing equipment repair and maintenance 8. Programmable logic controllers 9. Carpentry 10. Machinist
