Cisco AppDynamics Sales Executive
Location: Dallas, Chicago or Atlanta preferred
The Business Development Executive (BDE) will drive channel led, AppDynamics focused technology sales within North America. The BDE will be responsible for generating new business from net new or existing Capgemini clients. Manages identification and generation of sales opportunities. Maintains a minimum of 3x the target identified in the sales pipeline. Accurately forecasts sales. Leads the deal process through development of leads, sales strategy, solution proposal, and deal closing. Builds credibility and relationships with external technology partners and internal Capgemini Client Partners, Business Development Leads, Alliance Managers, Go-To-Market Leaders and C-Level Executives. Maintains an attitude of vigilance for Sales opportunities. Identifies and escalates market trends to appropriate clients and Capgemini leaders.
The primary focus and objective will be to develop and close new business.
Engage with field sales organization to communicate our differentiation/capability, and to identify target accounts to approach with the various AppDynamics services offered by Capgemini.
Partner with the Capgemini account sales team to drive new AppDynamics services and software license revenue.
Learn and articulate both AppDynamics product features/differentiation as well as Capgemini’s ability to implement those technology solutions.
Work with our sector (industry) field sales professionals on targeting install base and new logo accounts in different industries.
Work with our technology partner and build cadence around key activities/targets/accounts and programs.
Work with the AppDynamics practitioners in developing customer specific architectures, solution roadmaps, proposals, and business plans.
Identify leads via cold-calling, networking, events and/or other sources and develop relationships with C level executives within targeted markets and sectors.
Develop leads into pursuits and close pursuits.
Lead and motivate sales pursuit teams.
Assist in the assessment, design, and development of technical requirements and solutions.
Manage client expectations throughout the sales cycle and closing process.
This is a “hunter” role and qualified candidates must provide examples of their ability to generate organic revenue growth via prospecting tools and techniques.
Minimum of 10 years’ experience in selling complex, IT services/customized technology services.
5 years of quota-carrying experience in a complex technology solution-selling environment.
Proven track record of consistently meeting and exceeding sales quota.
Both SaaS and on-premise selling experience a MUST.
Experience managing the sales cycle from business champion to the C-level
Demonstrated commitment to stay abreast of industry trends and technical advancements across multiple business sectors
Completed Sales Methodology training, SaaS Performance Management or Applications experience and strong customer references.
High level of personal and professional integrity
Excellent oral and written communication skills and outstanding presentation skills
Excellent attention to detail
Excellent time management skills
Excellent presentation and poise
Ability to work in a global organizational and service delivery environment
Ability to work in a fast paced, competitive sales culture
Ability to travel extensively as required
Strong computer skills, including Salesforce, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel
