La Quinta Inns & Suites Project Manager - Franchise Design & Development in Irving, Texas
The Project Manager of Franchise Design & Development is responsible for a geographic region of hotels from a construction or renovation standpoint. Hotels in the geographic region will consist of hotels in the development pipeline and open hotels in this region due for a renovation or property improvement plan. In this role the Project Manager will be responsible for; visiting all hotels under construction or renovation, ensuring all construction and renovation is being completed to plans and in accordance with LQ Brand Standards, providing solutions for any obstacles observed during visits; documenting all visits with a written recap and reporting a status update of all projects to senior management.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Serve as a key point of contact for franchisees within geographic region and deliver of all brand services.
Conduct multiple property visits to all hotels under construction or renovation within geographic region. During these visits ensure the hotel is being built or renovated to approved plans and LQ Design Standards. Provide solutions as needed to ensure compliance and project timeliness. Document each visit with a property visit report.
Manage construction or renovation process to ensure properties adhere to the project timeline and open with minimal or no extensions.
Provide assistance in finding suppliers and contractors through our design department.
Report to senior management the construction status of all hotels within geographic region on a frequent basis.
Assist franchisees during renovation phase to make sure brand compliance and timely renovation.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree Required
3 – 5 years of multi-location commercial construction
MINIMUM SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Working conditions of the position are a normal office situation.
May work alone or closely with others.
Requires travel, excluding overnight stays.
Overnight travel is required 80% of the time.
Work is completed sitting at a desk or table with intermittently standing, and/or walking.
Requires distinguishing colors and/or depth perception.
