Citigroup Ruby Forecasting Services Engineering Team Lead-Irving-VP/C13 in Irving, Texas

  • The Applications Development Technology Lead Analyst is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. The finance forecasting team provides a software platform (RUBY) responsible for the firm’s balance sheet forecasting. The platform serves key stakeholders across finance and risk globally, internal risk management across the entire Citi balance sheet as well as regulatory submissions.

  • Key skills - Strong problem-solving skills, experience working with complex data, micro-services and distributed computing

  • Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high quality technical solutions to multiple global stakeholders in a fast paced environment

  • Ensure that the team follows best practices for system design, and conformance to high standards for coding, testing, debugging, and implementation

  • Effectively partner with external teams to ensure we meet our goals for system integration, application deployment, feed management and reporting

  • Resolve complex production issues, and ensure our applications function smoothly through critical business cycles

  • Provide in-depth analysis of business problems, and innovative solutions

  • Work effectively as part of a large global team, mentor junior developers and analysts, and work with the scrum masters to assign tasks.

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.

Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of relevant experience in Java software development.

  • 5 + years of experience in micro-services and distributed computing

  • 3 + years of experience with SQL / NOSQL databases

  • 3 + years of experience with Spark and Spring development

  • Advanced system design skills

  • Demonstrated leadership and project management skills
