Verizon Senior Product Manager in Irving, Texas
What you’ll be doing...
As Senior Product Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of product managers responsible for delivering wireless products and services for business customers. You will be responsible for defining the strategy, requirements and commercial model of wireless products and leading a team of talented product managers to implementing that strategy. You role will be focused on existing technologies such as Push To Talk, Enterprise Messaging and our software ecosystem as well as new wireless products and services to drive meaningful revenue and capture value through the monetization of the wireless network. You will be responsible for liaising with sister teams to establish strategies for delivering core wireless products to different segments including the specific requirements for Enterprise, Government and SMB customers. This role requires a strong leader, innovative thinker and execution mindset to drive our wireless products into the future.
Lead a team in a dynamic environment with focus on execution mindset and career development of subordinates.
Develop, evolve and implement product strategy for our lifecycle products as well as new products and services for B2B.
Work in collaboration with LOB/Sales on identifying customer requirements to make our existing products better and develop new products and services that meet our customers' needs.
Own the business execution plan for assigned products and solutions, collaborating with business unit marketing and other teams for delivery of associated revenue and profitability goals.
Own and drive product vision for wireless business products and services in VBG. Requires executive level communication skills and being able to clearly communicate both up and down the leadership chain as it relates to product strategy, timelines, delivery schedules, risks and mitigation plans.
Drive product timelines. Be able to build cross functional teams and consensus to drive product timelines with various stakeholders (GNT, GTS, Finance, Legal, etc.).
Be able to balance the needs between lifecycle products (PTT, Enterprise Messaging, and Software Resale) and ideating and launching new products and services.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Even better if you have:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering or an equivalent field.
Bachelors or Master’s degree in Business, Engineering or an equivalent field.
Eight or more years of product management experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience including leading teams.
Five or more years of telecommunications experience including 3GPP/4G LTE proficiency.
Experience working with business customers.
Ability to articulate customer needs internally so they can be translated into a finished product.
Communication and advanced presentation skills including demonstrated experience with executive level customer presentations.
Proven ability to develop and implement interdepartmental processes and procedures designed to support common network, product and sales goals.
Strong design skills and problem solving capabilities.
Strong project management skills to execute on roadmap, moving a project from inception to completion.
Ability to lead a team and independently on multiple high priority projects.
Ability to facilitate collaborative resolution of differences with a “win-win” approach.
Knowledge, curiosity, and a considered point of view on how customers can benefit from 4G/5G technology including network evolution in the Enterprise and SMB spaces.
Proven organizational and interpersonal skills, plus proven relationship building abilities.
Direct experience with business customers, Enterprise, Government and SMB, around wireless, mobility, and networking products.
Knowledge of 5G evolution and 5G NR technology as specified in 3GPP, GSMA standards.
Knowledge on how the Verizon Wireless network is architected as well as how to design and integrate solutions into the network.
Knowledge of the impacts of any new feature on the existing operation and performance of the network.
