The Cards, Retail and Merchant Services Technology organization is accountable for providing leadership and support for Wells Fargo credit card technology and vendor relationships. This role works cross-functionally with business, product, technology and infrastructure groups across the firm as it relates to building out new capabilities for installment loan products. This will include technical approach and design from the ground up utilizing both in house systems and processes and potentially existing and new third party vendors. This role will perform and/or oversee automation both internally and on a third party vendor platform. The role will be responsible for all technical engineering aspects of the installment loan programs, technical flows, testing and implementation. The role will also be responsible for improving automation and controls in the installment loan processes that are developed to ensure that all regulations and controls are built in and robust. This role will oversee, and implement automation projects in support of Wells Fargo’s short and long term visions. The role will drive speed and agility in decision making, identify areas of opportunity, remove barriers to progress, and accelerate stronger integration across business units and functions.

Required Qualifications

  • 7+ years of software engineering experience

  • 5+ years of financial services experience

  • 5+ years of experience working in a large enterprise network organization

  • 5 + years of technical design experience

  • 3+ years of Microsoft office suite experience such as PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook and Word

  • 5+ years of technology management experience

  • Experience with Product Launches, including data mapping, playbook creation, mock conversions.

  • Provide engineering support to other implementation teams regarding standards, Fiserv impacts, and .NET info sharing and best practices.

  • Must have a demonstrated ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and schematics.

  • Must be capable of making sound decisions in the absence of detailed instruction and maintain management policies, standards and guidelines designed to protect our most valuable IT assets.

  • Microsoft Azure Cloud knowledge

  • 7 + years of .Net and 3+ years Java application development experience

  • Experience 3+ years of credit card industry experience

  • Experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies. Transitioning from Waterfall to Agile experience is a plus.

  • 2 + years of Microsoft Visio experience

  • 3+ years of experience building and using micro-service and API development

  • Experience with multiple database back-end systems (SQL Server, Oracle, Hadoop)

  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas

  • Agile Scrum experience

  • Ability to work across multiple lines of business leading large scale initiatives

  • Ability to simultaneously lead multiple projects

  • 2 + years of experience with Agile tools such as Jira, BitBucket/Subversion, Jenkins/Jules, Skype and Confluence.

Job Expectations

  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
