As we grow, we are seeking an experienced Geospatial Data Analyst, to work onsite at Joint Base San Antonio, TX.
As a Geospatial Data Analyst, you will be responsible for supporting data quality requirements and reporting with geospatial data retrieval, manipulation and analysis working alongside a team of geospatial specialists that support GIS needs across the Air Force GeoBase program.
BA/BS and six (6) years related geospatial experience, or eight (8) years related geospatial experience
DoD security clearance or ability to obtain DoD clearance
Two (2) years’ related database and data analyses experience in an enterprise database environment or six years’ related programming and design experience in an enterprise database environment and:
Experience with Oracle or other enterprise database and strong SQL skills
Extensive experience with ESRI Server and Desktop products
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, matrixed environment
Willingness to undergo pre-employment background, drug screen and verification process
Experience in the following areas is desired: Data Modeling, Oracle Spatial & Graph, creating database procedures, triggers, functions, FME, data warehouse, Agile/Scrum and Atlassian and RESTful Services
Monitor and validate status of an existing data update process running in an Oracle database
Create data load procedures to an Oracle database using SQL, Arc Desktop and other tools
Address any issues identified in logs and/or message queues
Perform geospatial data analysis and generate aggregate tables for ESRI mapping services
Actively contribute to process improvement initiatives
Provide on-going communication throughout the project
Retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources into a data warehouse environment
Work as part of a fast-paced geospatial team consolidating and analyzing large amounts of data from various sources
Writing SQL code to automate data extraction, data migration and data comparison efforts
Working with multiple organizations with various data sets towards communicating information once data are consolidated and analyzed.
