Job Description


  • Assisting Recreational Sports Intramural Staff with providing a safe, healthy, and positive environment for Intramural participants.

  • Assist with implementation of proper protocol and procedures at the beginning (proper set up of all equipment) and program conclusion (securing equipment and program facility).

  • Game management to include: stats, scoreboard, and officiating of Intramural events, games, or competitions to maintain standards of play and to ensure game rules are observed.

  • Assist with implementation of emergency protocol during Intramural events.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • High school graduate or equivalent.

  • Currently enrolled student at Texas A&M International University.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with game management at sporting events as well as officiating experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Knowledge and implementation of game rules, guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe, positive and enjoyable environment for Intramural Program participants.

  • Knowledge and implementation of University policies as well as Rec Sports Intramural guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe, positive, and enjoyable environment for Intramural participants.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population.

  • Ability to interact effectively and professionally with participants and spectators. Must possess strong customer service skills.

Other Information

  • Position is a temporary appointment, assigned on an as needed basis.

  • Position requires working days, evenings and weekends dependent of event.

  • Position requires strict punctuality.

Proposed Salary: $8.00 hourly
