CONTROL ELECTRICAL TECHNICIAN/PLC PROGRAMMER Electrical, mechanical design and assembly for automated wet processing equipment control systems. Must be able to design, program and troubleshoot various PLC programs, pneumatic and hydraulic controls, create schematics from system descriptions, design and execute control panel wiring and troubleshooting, and perform installations and start-ups. Purpose: The main duties of this position are: - Design, PLC, HMI, pneumatic, and servo control systems. - Write PLC, HMI, and Servo control programs. - Design all schematics in 2D AutoCadLT. - Supervise the build of electrical control panels. - Must be strong in conducting machine startups and debug. - Background in Semiconductor industry is ideal. - Mechanical design capability a plus. - Handle field service calls. - Project management required. - This is a permanent position. - Some travel required. No degree required, but helpful. Must have some formal training in electrical controls and PLC programming design, or equivalent qualifying experience. Familiarity with semiconductor wafer processing methods is a plus. 4+ years broad programming and applications software knowledge is essential, including AutoCadLT 2D skills. Some project management and customer service duties are required. Expect some overtime, field work and travel. At least 4 years of programming experience with PLC's, HMI's, servo drives, variable frequency drives, PLC code troubleshooting, and using AutoCadLT for the design of a control system with electrical, electronic, and pneumatic devices. On a day to day basis, this person will be responsible for the control system design, specifying components, writing PLC ladder and HMI code, drawing schematics utilizing AutoCadLT, handling minimum local service calls, and supervising the build of the controls. Must be able to obtain security clearances for certain field work, via background check. Good driving record and drug test mandatory.
