Position Description:
Performs academic advising, educational, professional, or other basic academic advising or training at the individual or group level as appropriate. Work is performed under supervision with performance based on individual advising effectiveness and overall program results obtained.

Major/Essential Functions:
Communicate with students about the registration systems, assist with the registration process, changing classes, and adding/dropping classes.
Meet with students to plan schedules.
Assist with completion of graduation forms or major changes.
Communicate with students and faculty about academic issues.
Follow up with students of risk.
Handle recruitment inquiries and create recruitment materials.
Maintain a database of graduates and handle all exit procedures.

Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to use Texas Tech University's platforms for advising, registration, academic information, and communication.
Ability to problem-solve and establish relationships with students.
