Supports the program director by performing administrative duties related to planning, directing and coordinating both the academic and operational activities of the program.
Up to 25%
Provide support to instructors in classroom management, technology, instructional technique, and implementation of policies and procedures.
Organize production, design, and maintenance of curriculum materials and act as the primary liaison between the PADR office and publishing company representatives.
Plan and conduct teacher training programs dealing with new classroom procedures, instructional materials and equipment, and teaching aids.
Observe work of teaching staff the evaluate performance to recommend changes that could strengthen teaching skills, and to update the instructor roster as needed.
Advise students regarding educational issues as they pertain to their success at Texas Tech University an PADR, referring them to the correct departments or campus resources as needed.
Search out, interview, hire, and oversee new employee activation of qualified instructors and coordinate instructor onboarding and payment schedules each term.
Maintain accurate and complete records of students as required by laws, university policy, and administrative regulations.
Recommend, order, or authorize purchase of instructional materials, supplies, equipment, and visual aids designed to meet student educational needs and program standards.
Research, evaluate, and prepare recommendations on curricula changes, instructional methods, and materials for PADR.
Act as data custodian for all PADR instructor and curriculum data including course and instructor evaluations, new instructor hiring documents, completed interview packets, instructor service agreements, curriculum updates, and other data essential to evaluating the success of the program.
Minimum Hire Rate:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field.
Experience editing and developing curriculum.
Experience with developmental education and at-risk student populations.
