Position Description:

Designs, implements and manages an assigned program. Typical duties can include but are not limited to: Identify funding opportunities, conduct program assessments, prepare program reports, oversee and manage program marketing and communications, manage program databases, supervise program staff, plan research activities, coordinate program events, participate in strategic planning, manage program files, establish program standards and objectives, direct logistical activities to promote the success of programs, develop and implement project timelines and ensures deadlines are met, oversee program budget, ensure goals and objectives of grants are met, assists in proposal writing, comply and analyze program statistics.

Major/Essential Functions:

  • Customer Service: Support internal and external customers. Strive for first contact resolution on all transactions, where possible. Document customer issues. Escalate customer issues if needed. Improve department processes and workflow using customer data.

  • Support departmental platforms, software, and technologies including but not limited to: Banner, Smartsheet, Proctorio, SharePoint, Footprints, Focus, C2K and Blackboard. System Administrator for Smartsheet. Collaborate with nu IT on projects.

  • Collaborate with leadership team, department heads, managers, supervisors, vendors, and others, to identify system needs to better support our customers. Present suggestions for improvement to Operation and Leadership Teams.

  • Project Management: Proactively develop project management for elearning and nu K-12 to facilitate planning, training, communication, tracking, execution, and follow-up.

  • Tech Plaza safety and Clery Act support and reporting for regional sites in conjunction with nu Police Department.

  • Qualified applicants for this position will be subject a pre-employment Texas Tech University background check, and in addition, a Texas Education Agency criminal background check and fingerprinting as required by the Texas Legislature for independent school districts.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with the use of a wide assortment of computer applications and educational technology. Ability to readily learn and manage educational software and digital multimedia applications. Ability to readily learn and manage technologies used for in online or classroom environments. Ability to meet deadlines. Ability to assist customers verbally or in writing. Ability to follow instructions as well as develop processes and procedures to improve customer experience.

  • Higher education experience related to distance education/online learning. Demonstrated knowledge of state, federal, and international regulations as they relate to K-12 and Higher Education. Legal research and policy analysis experience. Professional writing experience with documents such as communiques, white papers, guidelines, procedures, handbooks, or other. Project management experience with diverse teams. Operational knowledge of collaborative digital tools.

  • Bachelor's degree and four years of experience developing or managing programs or projects. Additional job related experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.

  • Advanced degree preferred qualification, such masters or post-bachelors work in fields such as Marketing, Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Online Learning, Communication, Graphic Design, Information Technology or a related field.

Pay Statement:

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
