QUALIFICATIONS:iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii Required:iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiCurrent licensure to practice as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (TMB and CoArc) in the State of Texas.Associates degree in respiratory care.4 years respiratory care experience: 2 years in an acute care clinical setting as well as knowledgeable in subject matter. Capability to train through experience, and be effective in teaching respiratory care skills to students.Current BLS and ACLSDemonstrate excellent English, oral and written communication skills.iiiii Preferred:Bacheloris degree in education.Two or more years teaching in an accredited respiratory care program.Two or more years of recent clinical experience in advanced critical care setting.Previous experience with LMS testing and instructional technology.Competency with MS Office software packages.Additional credentials associated with respiratory care.Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds, including those with disabilities.Understand how to work successfully as a team within all levels of the organization and know how to contribute to the mission of the college.It is the intent of the basic job requirements, duties, and responsibilities that these minimum requirements should, be referred to as a guide for, rather than a limitation to the services required.JOB DESCRIPTION:iiiiiiiiiiiiThe position will report to the Program Director for the Respiratory Care Program under the supervision of the Respiratory Care Director of Clinical Education for job responsibilities and other College related activities as outlined in the Policies and Procedures Manual. Essential duties include but are not limited to the following:iTeaching responsibilities in clinical education, simulated laboratory and laboratory setting;Perform computer related tasks with clinical documentation of student skills and evaluation;Ability to monitor and evaluate students clinical time, physician interactions, competencies, and reflections on their clinical portal;Interact with a diverse student population;Must be active in developing and implementing simulations; andDemonstrate ability to work with Blackboard, Microsoft office, grade assignment, and set lesson plans.CONTRACT and SALARY:iiii Salary is competitive, based on the Angelina College Salary Schedule as defined for part-time instructors.
