Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
Up to 75%
Works with the ED to implement the short term and long term strategy for US PREP.
Performs tactical work to support the planning of Convenings, Symposiums, and other US PREP events.
Oversees and supports the project management of Membership Tiered services.
Creates and implements the US PREP communication strategy (Works with the Director of Research to disseminate learning, write monthly email newsletters, monitor and update social media accounts). Provide guidance external (newsletter/social media/website) and within network (cohort newsletters/toolkits).
Manage funder relationships (prepare for check-in meetings, develop periodic funder update memos on behalf of the Exec Dir, cultivate new relationships, manage proposals).
Lead bi-annual convenings (objective, agenda, event logistics, evaluation).
In collaboration with Exec Director, plan for yearly full-team retreat (reflection/team building/strategic planning).
Develop and codify on-boarding process for new staff members.
Manage US PREP annual reporting process.
Long-term strategic planning.
Anticipated funding needs/budget modeling.
Approaches to generating revenue (potential sources of revenue, innovation, costs, etc.).
Monitoring staffing levels.
Represent US PREP on cross-center working groups.
Minimum Hire Rate:

Bachelor's degree and 5+ years experience in marketing, journalism, communications, education policy or related field.
