Direct Hire - HR Opportunity

Kelly Services is seeking a HR professional to join one of its top client sin the Nederland TX. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to ensure efficient operation of the office. Supports managers and employees through a variety of tasks related to organization and communication. Responsible for recruiting and other functions to support HR. Directs and coordinates office services and related activities, as well as providing administrative support to the Plant Manager. Responsible for arranging internal office moves, providing arrangements for office meetings, and transporting visitors to and from the plant gate entrance. Reports to the HR Manager

Job Functions


  • Performs general office duties and clerical duties, such as making copies, preparing agendas, filing and retrieving documents, records and reports.

  • Oversees the reception area:

  • Answers and directs phone calls.

  • Receives and distributes office mail.

  • Greets visitors, staff, and others in a professional and courteous manner.

  • Provide visitor authorization passes and transport visitors to and from the entrance gate.

  • Coordinates schedules, meetings, appointments, and travel for office personnel as required.

  • Coordinates the maintenance and alteration of the office areas and equipment, as well as layout, arrangement, and housekeeping of office facilities.

  • Purchases office supplies, furniture, office equipment, business cards, flowers, etc. for staff in accordance with company purchasing policies and budgetary restrictions.

  • Order and pick-up service awards for employees

  • Supervises the maintenance of office equipment, including copiers, coffee machines, etc. As well as coordinate with the food vendor in the maintenance building

  • Coordinates with departments as required by answering questions and providing assistance.

  • Informs management appropriately of area activities and of any significant problems.

  • Attends and participates in meetings as required.

  • Performs miscellaneous special projects as assigned.

  • Provide various reports as needed.

  • Update/maintain organizational charts with changes as they occur.

  • SAP Functions of new vendor entry, prepare/track shopping carts and enter purchase orders for approval.


  • Draft/maintain job descriptions.

  • Collaborate with hiring managers to define their ideal candidate and refine, as necessary.

  • Post open positions internally and externally. Announce open positions internally.

  • Conduct resume and/or phone screens to ensure candidates meet job requirements and possess attributes that positively add to our culture.

  • Schedule interviews to ensure a seamless process for both the candidates and hiring managers.

  • As part of the interview panel, conduct and participate interviewing of candidates.

  • Follow-Up with candidates in a timely manner at every step of the recruitment cycle

  • Work with external recruiters/temp agencies as needed.

  • Maintain Hiring Board report for local recruiting activity.

  • Follow all relevant company policies and procedures.

  • Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education, Experience, and/or Training

  • High school diploma or equivalent required, college degree preferred.

  • Knowledge of basic HR and Recruiting functions required.

  • 2-3 years’ of providing HR administrative support preferred.

  • 2-4 years’ experience working as an administrative role in an office environment, or similar job required.
