30016BRReq No.:30016BRJob Description and Qualifications:We have a career opportunity with the safest, most profitable industrial gases company! Join our team in a challenging role as an Electrical and Instrumentation Designer/Planner to support our HyCO business.
This position will be based out of the Pasadena, TX HyCO Site Services (HSS) office.
The position requires approximately 25-40% travel, mostly day trips to plants within driving distance of the Pasadena office but occasional overnight trips to outlying facilities and other regional sites will be required.
You will be required to obtain a TWIC card, pass all required DISA drug and background screening as well as possess a valid passport.
You will be a member of a multi skilled team and will be responsible for designing and executing the E&I portion of a wide variety of small/medium EH&S, productivity, and reliability projects at Air Products Hydrogen/CO facilities. In addition, this role includes developing detailed job plans and managing the field execution of electrical and instrumentation preventative maintenance and corrective tasks during plant turnarounds. This role will support approximately 1 to 3 turnarounds per year, each with a duration of 2 to 5 weeks.
Excellent communication and leadership skills along with a broad knowledge of E&I Design and the National Electrical Code are required to excel in this position. This position has direct accountability to the HSS Regional Leads.
Create E&I design packages for bidding and field construction.
Assist with project scope development
Develop estimates, funding documents, schedules, and ongoing forecasts using various IT Systems including SAP, Microsoft Office, and Oracle Primavera 6.
Ensure all projects/ outages receive adequate process hazard reviews, Management of Change documentation, ORI’s, and that all recommendations are completed in a timely manner.
Ensure inherent process safety is adhered to on all projects.
Execute projects and outages safely, within the budget and on schedule.
Ensure all projects meet the operability needs of the customer.
Qualifications / Requirements:
5+ years experience in the industrial Electrical and Instrumentation design field
Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD or equivalent software
Manufacturing plant operations, maintenance, and construction knowledge a plus
Have high ethical standards - unwilling to compromise on worker safety and regulatory compliance requirements
