**Employer will offer on-the-spot hiring on Thursday, March 29, from 10:00am -12:00pm at the Plano Workforce Center, 1101 Resource Drive, Suite 100, Plano 75074.** Summary: Performs a variety of service tasks to ensure customers enjoy their dining experience. Included in this is greeting of customers, scheduling reservations and arrangement of catered events. Responsibilities: - Maintains friendly, efficient, Spirit of Service attitude towards customers, co-workers and clients. - Schedules dining reservations and arranges parties or special services for diners. - Greets guest, escorts them to tables and provides menus. - Adjusts complaints of patrons. - Inspects serving stations for neatness and cleanliness and requisitions table linens and other dining room supplies. - Maintains accurate customer counts. - Orients new wait staff to job responsibilities. Instructs wait staff to ensure understanding of menu items, methods of preparation and style of service, if required. - Adheres to all departmental sanitation procedures. - Adheres to all established systems and training program to provide a safe environment. Complies with all OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations. - Recognizes and adopts activities appropriate to the specific needs of patient/resident population and demonstrates knowledge of specific issues directly related to age of patient/resident population. - Maintains compliance with ARAMARK s standards of operation, client and within ARAMARK s Business Conduct Policy. Maintains all records and reports necessary to regulations and codes. - Maintains compliance with all requirements of Federal, State and local regulations and guidelines including the Civil Rights Act of 1964, as amended, the Age Discrimination in Employment Act of 1967, as amended, and the Americans with Disabilities Act, as amended. Qualifications: - High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma (GED) - Prior food service experience is desired. - Read, write, and understand English. Ability to communicate (both verbal and written) effectively. Ability to work well under time constraints. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed, but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to apply elementary math functions. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistics.
