We are currently seeking a Graphic Design Manager to work out of our Plano, TX headquarters, to support our B2B team. As part of the B2B Communications team, this role is responsible for designing executive presentations, sales collateral, marketing materials and other projects. This person will also be responsible for managing a team of contractors who design projects for the B2B organization.
Role and Responsibilities
Manage a team of designers.
Lead the design vision and B2B brand strategy.
Maintain relationships with Samsung leaders and support key strategic projects.
Must have strong eye for design, ability to design.
Design assets for the B2B leadership, marketing and sales leads, including:
Presentations: Internal/External Sales Training, Enterprise Customer, and Product Presentations
Print: Product Brochure, White Paper, Comparison Charts, Battle-Cards, and Customer/Seller Facing Flyers
Digital Creative: E-mail Newsletters, Infographics, E-Invites, Web and Social Ad Banners
Event Support: Samsung Unpacked, B2B National Sales Meeting, Samsung Developer Conference (SDC), Industry Events and Advisory Boards
Candidate must be comfortable with creative tools, including: Eloqua (marketing platform), Dreamweaver (email/newsletter HTML coding), Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Adobe Acrobat DC, Microsoft Office, After Effects, and Premiere
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to facilitate meetings and develop relationships with internal departments
Highly motivated, work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames
Other requirements include:
Must be excellent in PowerPoint especially with advance features and be comfortable with quick turn projects.
Must be able to communicate information digitally in a very effective manner.
Must be seasoned with strong work ethic and have pretty extensive graphic design background.
Must be familiar with advertising, marketing, demand gen/creation, sales enablement and branding concepts.
This candidate must have the ability to communicate information and data effectively with the use of animation, builds, as well as the creation of easy to understand charts, graphs and diagrams.
Must be self-sufficient and able to work under tight deadlines with changing input.
Must be able to handle light content editing.
Skills & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of professional design experience.
A candidate should have a prior strategic design role coupled with a strong focus on execution of creative thinking.
Necessary Skills & Attributes:
Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with all assigned levels within and outside the company.
Plan, organize, and prioritize multiple assignments and projects.
Review detailed product development, marketing documents and media materials as needed.
Demonstrated competency in both oral and written communication modes for both internal and external personnel at various levels.
Work independently and in a team environment in order to achieve customer business objectives, personal and team goals and complete assignments within established time frames and specifications.
The ability to develop tasks and work assignments, based on sometime vaguely defined objectives.
Physical/Mental Demands and Working Conditions:
The position requires the ability to perform the essential duties and responsibilities in the following environment:
Work is generally performed in an office environment.
Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal 50% of work time, including prolonged periods of time.
The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time under 25 pounds.
Performs work under time schedules and stresses which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive job stress, fatigue, unpaid over-time, intellectual challenge, constant technical data feedback, language barriers, and business management stress.
Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids representative and commonly associated with PCs, printers, and office work areas.
Frequently works additional hours beyond normal schedule.
Under very little direct supervision with a high level of responsibility to apply general policies and guidelines where decisions are seldom monitored and consequences of decisions adversely affect operating results and management decisions. Complete access to confidential company data where disclosure may jeopardize the company’s competitive position.
