Baylor Scott & White Health Medical Transcriptionist II in Plano, Texas

The Medical Transcriptionist II t4ranscribes reports for members of the Medical Staff and employees of BSWH. Documents transcribed may include history and physical; operative reports; consultation report; EKG reports; discharge summaries and other patient evaluation reports. This position may provide back up to transcription services for radiology and pathology dictation. Additionally, this position will research issues or problems as they relate to transcribed reports.

Transcribes dictated material by Physicians and other BSWH personnel. This material may include history and physicals, operative reports, consultation reports, discharge summaries, EKG reports and other patient evaluation dictated.

Provides back up to transcription coverage for pathology and radiology transcription services.

Verifies transcription and patient identification information for accuracy.

Operates and maintains transcription unit and computer equipment.

Maintains a daily record of work performed and reports completed.

Participates in continuing education programs and in services to enhance job knowledge.

Complies with organizational and departmental policies and procedures.

Works closely with the direct Manager to ensure operational needs of the facility are met.

Utilizes the chart management system as required to task and responsibility.

Maintains patient privacy and confidentiality.

Location: Baylor Regional Medical Center, Plano

Department Supported: Women's Imaging Center/ Radiology

Schedule: 8AM to 4:30 Monday Through Friday.


High School Diploma/GED Equivalent.

One plus year of experience required.
