Job Description

The Mortgage Solutions Team Lead supports the Mortgage Solutions team with a focus on training and quality by working directly with the specialists, and by partnering with LSPD Quality Assurance and Compliance. This is to ensure the input and output of all the Mortgage Solutions functions are upheld to the highest quality standards, completed within the agreed upon internal and external SLAs, and adhere to all governing and regulatory agency compliance requirementsJob Duties and Responsibilities:

50% Leadership Responsibilities:

  • Assist management in the development of training plans and provide ongoing training to staff to ensure they have necessary knowledge, and expertise to perform in their role, which leads to highly efficient and effective Mortgage Solutions Specialists

  • Provide ongoing constructive and positive feedback, assessing and monitoring employee performance to ensure department standards are achieved and maintained, to ensure the tasks are completed within the expected turn times while meeting quality standards

  • Assist management in overseeing department performance, efficiencies, and standards, offering suggestions and solutions for improvement, which leads to overall client satisfaction, and expense savings to Allied

  • Assist in the facilitation of department meetings, while assisting in department and division initiatives to ensure staff motivation, engagement, and continuous education

  • Perform monthly quality audits and report results to management to ensure quality standards are being maintained; suggest action plan to management when results of audits are less than satisfactory

50% Mortgage Solutions

  • Work mortgage and escrow pre-process report and queues, performing insurance and escrow verifications with speed and accuracy, while maintaining outstanding or excellent audits

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA

  • High school diploma/GED required

  • 2 years of advance education or 2 years of experience in a related position required

  • Strong Communication Skills – Use of clear, concise and effective oral and written communication. Accurately relay information with confidence. Self-manage timely responses and resolutions. Mentor peers. Ability to convey thoughts in a focused and concrete manner.

  • Customer Service Skills – Ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships with clients, loan servicing, and sales team. Adaptable to various personalities and adverse situations.

  • Critical Thinking Skills – Ability to identify, analyzes, and resolves problems. Handle confidential information in a responsible manner. Ability to make independent decisions.

  • Exceptional Organizational Skills - Ability to self-prioritize, assign and organize work flow. Ability to handle various responsibilities. Exceeds service level expectations. Adaptable to change and has ability to make independent decisions.

  • Advanced Computer Skills – Microsoft Office, SmartSheets, etc, and other various programs to perform necessary job functions

  • Teamwork skills: Lead teams to meet department goals. Provide guidance and support to multiple loan servicing teams. Accept and provide feedback with a respectful approach. Professional interaction with employees, peers and customers.

  • Adaptable to change and serves as a role model to other departments within the organization

  • Ability to acknowledge and respect confidential information in a responsible manner

  • Ability to effectively and professionally present information in one-on-one and small group situations to internal and external individuals
