CMS Global Technology Center (GTC) is looking for an OSS WW Senior Solution Architect
TheCMS OSS WW SAdesigns and delivers technical solutions to customers through architecting effective information systems solutions that address challenges and opportunities, consistent with CMS strategic and business goals.
Orchestration Global Practice is a key investment program for the OSS domain and CMS. The OSS domain is extending the team to speed up the development and delivery of our Orchestration solutions. The HPE NFV solutions business comprise any aspect of orchestration. For this purpose, we require Senior Solution Architect based in USA.
Her/his functions are:
Interact with local & regional teams and customer representatives, helping building solution for our customers.
Perform configurations and customizations of HPE software components according to customer requirements.
Collect customer requirements and translate technical and business customer requirements into implementation specifications.
Understands HPE’s NFV strategy
Collects project specific collaterals and is capable to use knowledge management tools
Is able to execute assigned project related tasks in due time.
Passionate team worker and is capable to communicate with end customer representatives
Education and Experience Required
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
Minimum 8 years’ experience in project delivery.
Previous experience in project scoping
Affinity to the telco and experienced in cloud solution domain
Proven track records for participation in the development projects.
It is appreciated to have virtualization and networking experience, OSS and Fulfillment experience (better if in the network activation side)
It is appreciated to have previously worked in environments where end customer is a large Telecom operator, thus familiar with Telco and wireless networks function , in particular the virtualized ones ( for example vMME, vHSS , vEPDG and several others)
Capability to prepare project documentation for internal and end customer use
Languages: excellent written and spoken English is a must. Others are a plus.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Demonstrates a methodical approach from previous employment using tools such as MS Project /Office.
Strong verbal and written communication using a variety of tools.
Understanding of basic negotiation skills - able to balance risk and opportunity.

Demonstrates ownership and assumes responsibility to drive assigned tasks
Broad understanding of evolving standards and technologies
Ability to manage priorities and maintain engagement across a number of projects at various lifecycle phases
Knowledge in the following areas:
Mandatory: Networking, Virtualization
Appreciated: ETSI MANO solutions, NFV, SDN, OpenStack, 3GPP compliant applications, ETSI standards, like MANO, SOL compliance and others from a theoretical and practical point of view, experience with Containers and container based network Functions (CNF), using Kubernetes and other technologies
Technical skills: Java / J2EE, Oracle, XML, Unix/Linux
proficiency in HPE CMS NFVD ( part of the acceleration portfolio)
Excellent verbal and written English language communications skills
Highly adaptable to cross-cultural requirements (clients and countries).
Ability to travel and work remotely.
Travel at short notice availability required (20% - 50%).
