Keurig Dr Pepper Trade Accounting Analyst in Plano, Texas
To provide the businesses with expert knowledge, training, guidance and support on Vistex Agreement Objects to facilitate Fountain Foodservice Trade Promotion contract payments. To execute Trade Promotion activities within defined contractual Service Level Agreements and enforce GAAP and other authoritative accounting guidance, as well as Company policies and procedures, for Trade Promotion reimbursements.
The role requires a ‘customer first’ orientation, strong organization ability, keen attention to detail and the ability to effectively handle multiple priorities.
Contract/Vistex Agreement Maintenance:
Maintain contact with sales and finance process teams to ensure alignment to Vistex Agreement usage and to provide analysis and financial impact of proposed data structure changes. This includes:
Day to day decisions for the overall landscape for Vistex Agreement objects and the application of business rules, policy and strategy
Responsible for data accuracy, performing and reporting on periodic audits and data integrity checks
Responsible for monitoring and reporting the effectiveness of Rebate administration processes.
Identifying and raising issues to Field Sales Managers and/or Finance management to achieve resolution.
Liase with IT on new system development, process improvement and large scale value change projects
Maintain policies for Vistex Agreement objects and views
Ability to utilize system inputs and validate Vistex rebate calculations to ensure accuracy.
Data maintenance of Vistex Agreement objects and BU level data as required by the contract. This includes:
Validation and point of escalation of change requests
Creating and maintaining Rebate related agreements by contract including master data and business unit level data as required by the sales contract
Assesses and manages data structures and processes
Owns responsibility of rebate documentation; including all supporting data analysis, SOX documentation and approvals.
Ensure that reimbursements are paid correctly and in accordance with GAAP and Company policies and procedures.
Prepare all monthly documentation to aid in the balancing and reconciling of the Vistex System with the financial general ledger. Identify and reconcile all transactions of the general ledger to Marketing Funds sub-ledger.
Enforce good accounting practices in reimbursements and reconciliations.
Manage applicable schedules to fulfill contractual obligations and deadlines for rebate accounts.
Ensure all reimbursements calculated in rebates system are accurately reconciled to Marketing Funds sub-ledger and SAP general ledger.
Business Decision Support:
Responsible for analyzing, interpreting and determining Vistex system solution for contracts
Through thorough understanding of the logic and philosophy of the Company’s policies, procedures and controls, provide the proper cause of action to resolve indefinable situations (grey areas).
Providing expert knowledge and guidance to the businesses for specific Vistex Agreement objects
Provide insight and recommendations to proposed data design additions, structure changes, value determinations, standards and conventions on systems.
Collaborates with functional groups on effectiveness and efficiencies of Rebate processes including production, IT, hand-held teams, conversion teams, route audit, materials planning, logistics and customer service (payments and collections).
Responsible for ongoing special projects including but not limited to:
Active participant as the subject matter expert for Rebates on projects
Participates in the development of system and process transition and implementation plans
Provides input into analysis for system development
Plays an integral role in ongoing data improvement initiatives
Contributes to the development of communication materials
Develops presentations and correspondence
Process manual payments
Experience – 1-2 year’s experience in Finance or Accounting.
Education – degree required: Accounting, Business, Finance, or Economics.
Intermediate to advanced proficiency in SAP and working in a windows environment. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Access.
Must have a collaborative work style; strong team and company mentality.
Must have General Ledger reconciliation and Trade or Marketing sub-ledger system experience.
Strong Communicator, presentation or training experience preferred. Ability to capture the detail of a situation and communicate accurately and completely, verbally or in writing.
Understanding performance measures impact on business performance.
Analysis/Problem Assessment skills (Identification of cause and effect relationships).
Ability to analyze large amounts of information, identify & communicate key themes.
Insight into people and ability to influence others to a course of action.
