JPMorgan Chase VP - Quality Assurance (QA) Lead - Credit Navigator in Plano, Texas

The QA / Automation Engineer lead is responsible for ensure application runs smoothly each release, works closely with Product Owner UAT Lead, and provides guidance/oversees the E2E automation to ensure all application services / release running smoothly.

You will work with cutting edge technologies, such as Domain-Drive Design (DDD), microservices, micro frontend (micro UI), Design Thinking via Double Diamond (Discovery & Framing), Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), and with UX/UI Designers and Researchers to provide solutions for Business. You will join us in the journey from private cloud GAIA to the public cloud, AWS.

  • Execute functional testing of application features including system integration testing, and regression testing

  • Write test scripts for manual functional testing and automation testing

  • Perform backend data validation against a relational database

  • Provide support for User Acceptance testing

  • Coordinate with application development, product owner, and external application teams for QA validation

Key Responsibilities:

  • Understand the various Testing processes, terminologies, and best practices

  • Creation of manual and automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium/Cypress

  • Develop and maintain regression testing suites

  • Develop Application Level Understanding for the applications that are assigned for testing.

  • Creation of test data & execution/updates of the test scripts to support testing across different testing cycles.

  • Work both independently and in a collaborative environment as part of application team and share knowledge with team.

  • Providing support and guidance to the development teams during the analysis, development, and testing processes.

  • Working effectively within team to identify and resolve issues

  • Demonstrate ability to quickly assess impacts to business operation, application, and processes as a result of proposed system changes.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of QA experience

  • Experience developing SQL queries and ability to perform data analysis in database and Excel

  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to analyze detailed business requirements, raise questions and seek resolution to outstanding clarifications required and test case identification

  • Understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) using Agile Methodology, and management tools ie. Jira

  • Must demonstrate strong time management skills, ability to multi-task & handle multiple test assignments & prioritize one's own work

  • Must have excellent verbal and written skills being able to communicate effectively on both a technical and business level

  • Experience in banking / finance would be highly desirable, especially working in a Commercial Bank or Wholesale Credit organization.

  • SQL knowledge a must

Required Technical Experience:

  • SQL (Strong skills in writing complex SQL queries)

  • Jira

  • Experience with UI Automation tools such as Cypress is a plus
