The Pharmacist, under general direction, dispenses prescription medications to patients and offers expertise in the safe use of prescriptions. This is a part-time position that provides PIC services, to operate a Class D Pharmacy.
Coordinate, organize, and oversee Health Services pharmaceutical ordering, packaging, and inventory control.
Operate Health Services pharmacy in compliance with State of Texas Pharmacy Rules and Regulations.
Pre-package, label and organize medication per orders for clinical provisions.
Conduct a pharmacy in-service for clinical staff annually.
Required Education and Experience:
Doctor of Pharmacy.
Two years of related experience in pharmacy.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of word processing and spreadsheet applications.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.
Ability to work with sensitive information and maintain confidentiality.
Registrations, Certifications, and Licenses:
- Licensed in the State of Texas to practice Pharmacy.
- Ability to lift light objects.Work beyond normal office hours and/or work on weekends.
