Raytheon’s Intelligence, Information, and Services (IIS) Business is looking for a detail-oriented and enterprising professional to join the Accounting team. The position will be responsible for general accounting support including journal entry preparation, balance sheet account reconciliations, and ad hoc analysis. Other areas of exposure and responsibility could include project setup, flux analysis, and other accounting and financial-related activities. The tasks require strong analytical skills, ability to work with detailed data, good systems skills, complex problem resolution, creativity, and effective time and resource management skills. Key responsibilities for the qualified candidate include : Reviewing and processing journal entry requests from the field Preparing and analyzing balance sheet account reconciliations Reviewing bank account replenishment requests Updating general ledger tables to enable appropriate revenue recognition Required Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (specifically Excel) Self-starter with the ability to take the initiative and ownership of assignments and a desire to improve processes Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and complete work within deadlines Ability to quickly learn and utilize financial software Excellent verbal and written communication skills Desired Skills CPA candidate Experience in accounting or finance Experience with SAP system Good organization skills; ability to work as part of a team Ability to interact face-to-face with senior levels of management Effective, pleasant, and business-like interpersonal skills Required Education Bachelor’s degree obtained within the past 18 months or by Summer 2018 in Accounting or a related field.
