Kforce Endpoint Consultant in Round Rock, Texas

Kforce is seeking a full-time Endpoint Consultant to remotely support our enterprise technology client based in Austin, TX.Summary:The Endpoint Consultant will join the Security & Resiliency Office with the responsibility to support the Global Chief Security Officer in all matters of organizational management and execution. The ideal candidate will be adaptable and fast-moving, with the ability to independently lead projects in addition to being responsible for daily activities that ensure the overall health of the organization from an administrative and staff management perspective.The Endpoint Consultant serves as operational engineer for the antivirus/encryption technologies supported by Cybersecurity. The candidate ensures that all system components are maintained, updated, monitored, accessible, and available according to Cybersecurity standards; while partnering with other engineers in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of diverse solutions.Responsibilities:

  • Supervises maintenance of Endpoint applications and environment

  • Works across the various global IT teams and business units and coordinates resources to effectively perform maintenance and response tasks

  • Successfully executes upgrades, enhancements and policy change requests

  • Proactively researches CVEs to identify required product upgrades

  • Provides security control enhancement recommendations based on regulatory and best practice procedures

  • Communicates and educates information security risks to management and internal/external teams

  • Designs and coordinates cohesive plans to enhance and upgrade the suitability of the Endpoint environment

  • Reviews, analyzes and resolves difficult and complex information security problems

  • Develops new approaches and techniques for use by others

  • Creates, updates, and maintains internal architecture diagrams and security baselines

  • Monitors the environment for failures and takes corrective action

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Information Security or related major; Or equivalent professional experience in a similar role

  • 8 recent years of experience with Endpoint AV and encryption technologies (implementing, monitoring, and configuring)

  • 8 recent years of direct experience in the field of cybersecurity

  • Experience with managing enterprise environments with McAfee ePO (deployments, configuration, management)

  • Experience deploying and maintaining Bitlocker or other encryption technologies

  • Strong understanding of IT and Cybersecurity technologies

  • Good understanding of networking fundamentals (e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, SSL)

  • Experience integrating with Splunk

  • Experience with security processes and documentation

  • Applicants must be fully authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship

Desired Requirements:

  • Industry certifications relevant to the role such as: CISSP, McAfee Certified Product Specialist
