Effectively supervise all aspects of “not for resale” supplies, durable goods, assets and services for the company assigned vendors, maximizing value while maintaining service levels, and managing Store Use annual budget. Identify, manage and implement complex cost-saving initiatives and projects through direct and indirect interdepartmental resources. In addition, will be responsible for to managinge contracts, create and release purchase orders, manage inventory, drive efficiencies, supply continuity, identify opportunities to cost reduce coststions and providinge functional guidance for other team members.
Essential Job Functions:

Perform category analysis to identify and execute efficiency opportunities as well as cost savings opportunities on all assigned items housed in the Online Supply System
Managing ing expenses pertaining to the job function is critical and will be a part of day to day job scope.on a day to day basis is a critical function of this position
Support and maintain inventory levels within Petco distribution centers and offsite vendor warehouses.
Coordinate with NSC, SSC and field operations project initiators to manage sourcing of new products and/or services for assigned vendors on contracts up to 100k annually. Foster vendor relationships and coordinate the receipt of new product into the distribution centers and the stores.
Responsible for identifying, monitoring and communicating potential obsolete inventory to leadership and business owners before making a decision to activate or deactivate SKUs.
Communicate effectively with Business Owners through all levels of organization. Interact professionally through verbal and written communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company interests values.
Interface with Indirect Procurement/ Strategic Sourcing team for consistent application and execution of category strategies.
Support one-off tactical sourcing of client requirements:
Understand baseline and current state
Analyze supply market
Create appropriate sourcing strategy
Conduct negotiations and determine fair market value
Create purchase orders and/or co-create contracts
Track and report supplier performance and resolve any supplier performance issues in conjunction with the Business Owners.
Participate in periodic key stakeholder meetings with Business Owners to review category strategy and activities.
Optimize supply base opportunities across managed categories.
Evaluate store change requests, implement when feasible, and advise the Operations Team of changes.
Support the stores and field personnel by responding to inquiries and needs on a priority basis. Troubleshoot problems that arise in the field, not only for the store that communicates it, but for all stores affected.
The majority of job duties are performed while seated indoors at a computer with little or no exposure to hazards. Travel to store locations via automobile and airplane is required up to 10% of the time, depending on business needs. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.
This position requires the following skills and experience:
A college diploma or equivalent and have a minimum of five year’s progressively responsible related experience in the retail industry is preferred.
An applicant that will have a A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar supervisory role in a large multi-state, high-volume environment is preferred.
Ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of office productivity tools (Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint), strong Excel skills are required
JDA E3/Advanced Warehouse Replenishment preferred
and basic client facing skills and p Project management skills preferred
Demonstrated advanced ability to lead, provide direction and resolve difficult and complex problems.
Excellent ce in communication and computer skillscustomer service skills required
Demonstrated analytical and organizational skills specifically with the ability to create logical plans that will create a positive experience for the customer.
Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously, exercise patience and diplomacy in all situations.
