Job/Position DescriptionClerk I Admissions and Placements - San Antonio This position will work as the Admissions and Placements Clerk under the supervision of the Admissions and Placements Coordinator. Will work under moderate supervision with limited latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgement. The AandP Clerk performs general to routine secretarial work including but not limited to: Maintaining organized records and files, Gives support to the transition specialists and admission placement coordinators as needed including but not limited to making travel arrangements, copies etc. Will pick up and distribute mail, maintain adequate supply of forms, typing general routine assignments, Knowledge of business terminology, clerical procedures, office practices and procedures; of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and arithmetic. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word. Ability to understand and follow general instructions. Ability to make basic mathematical computations and tabulations. Maintain good relationship with all departments. Follows facility attendance policy. Essential Job FunctionsAttends work on a regular basis and may be required to work a specific shift schedule or, at times, even a rotating schedule, extended shift and/or overtime in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned. The AandP Clerk performs general to routine secretarial work to include but not limited to: and#149; Maintaining organized records and files and#149; Picks up and distributes mail and#149; Maintains the population movement report and#149; Updates the vacancy report and#149; Receives and tracks packet info and#149; Distributes admission packets to facility disciplines and#149; Schedule and/or coordinate admission meetings and#149; Assists with Family/LAR mailings and#149; Assists with record requests including scanning and producing records for the settlement agreement and#149; Performing related work as assigned and#149; Maintaining an adequate supply of forms and#149; Typing general routine assignments, completes work within due date with no failure to do so in an evaluation period. Knowledge of business terminology, clerical procedures, office practices and procedures; of spelling, punctuation, grammar, and arithmetic. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word.
