NetImpact Strategies Lead eLearning Courseware Development Specialist in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

We have an opportunity for a Lead eLearning Courseware Development Specialist to join our talented Professional Services team supporting a Department of Defense customer. The successful candidate will provide oversight to a team of eLearning courseware developers and manage their day-to-day assignments and workload. He/she will interface with education and training subject-matter-experts, client and learning management system operations staff and other stakeholders, and provide actual detailed development of engaging, interactive, SCORM compliant courseware, including end-to-end product testing, review and maintenance.

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Manage a team of eLearning Courseware Developers on site in San Antonio, TX and in Northern Virginia

  • Manage all aspects of eLearning courseware development from project kickoff to production of storyboards through successful completion of end-to-end product testing, including the creation of effective evaluations and assessments that achieve Kirkpatrick?s levels of evaluation

  • Recommend and develop interface design, sequence of instruction based on needs assessment

  • Ensure learning content and courses are operating properly

  • Develop the company standard eLearning template

  • Deliver eLearning development software training as needed

  • Co-create eLearning strategy based on input from the business

  • Collaborate with team to design and develop engaging and effective instructional materials

  • Collaborate with subject-matter-experts and other stakeholders to ensure the team produces engaging, interactive eLearning products

Required Skills

  • A BA or BS degree is required

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in managing large, diverse portfolios of eLearning programs of similar size and scope, developing product and mission

  • 5+ years? experience in designing and evaluating engaging, interactive, SCORM compliant self-directed training content in HTML5 applications

  • Deeply familiar with Knowles Adult Learning Theory and effective instructional design and facilitation, including the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) Model

  • Ability to translate complex concepts into easy-to-understand instructional content

  • Experience in advanced course design principles (i.e. page layout, typography, color theory, visual focus, audio and video, print design)

  • Experience in the crafting visual and audio experiences that work best with course content

  • Knowledge of Web-based Training (WBT) creation, along with creation of media such as audio, video, custom animations/interactions, and custom graphics

  • Demonstrated commitment to ensuring high quality online learning experiences

  • Strong leadership as well as oral and written communication skills are required

  • Developed problem-solving and analytical abilities

  • Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent presentation & communication skills in both oral and written form, including good proof reading skills

  • Genuine desire to learn is essential

  • Occasional travel

Desired Skills

  • Bachelor?s or Master?s Degree in Instructional Design, Training and Development, or related field, or an equivalent combination of technical certifications/experience

  • Industry certifications in instructional design, curriculum development, performance improvement, project management, or content-specific certifications as appropriate (CPLP, CPT, PMP, etc.)

  • Experience in developing courseware for hosting on Joint Knowledge Online or Atlas Pro

  • Experience working in or with the Federal Government.

This position is located in San Antonio, TX.
