CVS Health Pharmacy Technician - Doctor Calls, Mail Order, Fulltime in San Antonio, Texas

Job Description

As a Pharmacy Technician II – Doctor Calls, you will be responsible for making outbound calls, taking inbound calls, entering patient and prescription information into our system, and faxing the physicians for prescription clarification, substitutions, and formulary changes. The Pharmacy Technician II is essential to ensuring incomplete prescriptions are resolved after clarification is obtained, and complete the appropriate described patient letter. The Pharmacy Technician II position is responsible for interacting with physician offices and internal partners to ensure to maximize workflow.

As part of the Pharmacy Technician II – Doctor Calls team, you will have an important, uniquely rewarding role putting your Pharmacy Technician skills and experiences to work in a front-end setting. CVS is a national leader in pharmaceuticals, and you will be leading an innovative and bold initiative aimed at transforming health care and pharmacy leveraging new and emerging information technologies and channels.

Required Qualifications

  • Must have a Texas Trainee Pharmacy Technician License OR Texas Registered Pharmacy Technician

  • Must have at least three months of experience as a pharmacy technician

Preferred Qualifications

  • National Certification is highly preferred

Education

  • High School Diploma
