Job Description

This position will support the department overall helping to coordinate and manage faculty, resident and study clinical research projects. This will include participation in study planning, protocol writing, IRB approvals, grant writing, data collection and data analysis. Position will also support the creation of progress reports, oversight of mandatory research training and organizing department research events.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in clinical research, including IRB protocols, database management, manuscript/grant writing and technical/narrative research.

Job Duty

Designs, modifies and collaborates with primary investigator regarding protocol and methodology of research topics. Develops clinical research protocols complying with all institutional policies. Will participate in protocol writing, formulating of research hypotheses and creation of study budgets. Responsible for regulatory issues, such as submission of IRB protocols. Participates in grant writing.

Job Duty

Conducts research pertinent to projects. Conducts experiments and studies and assesses outcome; adapts continued studies based on organization of findings. Recruits and coordinates patient enrollment. Determines eligibility based on inclusion and exclusion criteria per study protocol. Assists with data collection and data entry. Prepares progress reports to IRB and study sponsors.

Job Duty

Writes and prepares final papers to support findings; submits evidence for publication. Participates in data analysis and interpretation of study findings. Participates in manuscript writing and preparation of power point presentations. Prepares final report to IRB and study sponsors.

Liaison with participating sponsors, other study sites and individual participants. Responsible for coordinating and preparing for site visits. Plans and organizes department events such as research workshops, departmental journal, resident research days. Submits electronic payment requests, requisitions (travel & supplies) and travel vouchers. Other Duties as Assigned.
