Performs skilled, administrative, and managerial tasks in support of a research program. Plans and supervises certain phases in a research project.


35% Preparation and analysis of samples

35% Performs Quality Control and Quality Assurance tasks, including review of data and records, maintenance activities and documentation.

15% Receives samples and interfaces directly with clients. Signs Chain of Custody Records, log samples into management system. Checks pH, temperature, and other preservation requirements. Reviews documentation for completeness and accuracy.

10% Supervision of interns in laboratory equipment preparation, storage and inventory.

5% Other tasks and duties as required.

Required Education:

Bachelor’s degree

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Knowledge of laboratory maintenance and equipment. Knowledge of computers and computer software related to the position.

Preferred Education:

Bachelor’s degree in the following disciplines: chemistry, biology, environmental science, or environmental engineering
