POSITION SUMMARY The Customer Service Representative is responsible for taking and processing customer orders and addressing all customer inquiries and complaints. REQUIRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE High school diploma or GED PREFERRED EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE Experience working in a manufacturing environment. Computer data-entry experience. Experience in the corrugated industry. Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred. REQUIRED SKILLS TECHNICAL SKILLS Application knowledge and skill for computer data entry. Application knowledge of products and production processes. Quality standards. LANGUAGE SKILLS Excellent communication skills. Ability to read and interpret documents such as sales reports, operating instructions, and training and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS Ability to add, subtract, multiply, divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages and calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, costs, quotes, and volumes. REASONING ABILITY Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram (graphic) form. Ability to solve a variety of problems and deal with a variety of situations where only limited information or standardization exists. PREFERRED SKILLS (TECHNICAL, CLERICAL, LANGUAGE, ETC.) Bi-lingual preferred. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS FOR THIS POSITION 1.Receive customer orders and order changes either directly from customers or from sales representatives and record, process and place orders timely and accurately. 2.Receive and respond to customer complaints and questions and follow-up with appropriate internal personnel as required to improve customer service. 3.Maintain customer files. 4.Work with Accounting for account questions or disputes from customers and coordinate accounting credits when necessary. 5.Fax or e-mail confirmations and other information to customers. 6.Assist sales personnel as appropriate and assist in generating supplemental sales. 7.Track pre-coated rolls and offline coater items to maintain min/max levels of items to insure availability for customer orders; analyze monthly usages and re-stocking needs. 8.Regular and predictable attendance.
