The primary objective of this position is to manage sales activities for assigned territory / accounts within the top 20 US financial institution market
The Incumbent will lead a cross-functional team of resources, made up of sales specialists, professional services consultant(s), account support associates, and project management resources to drive overall NCR orders, revenue, and profit growth within the assigned account(s).
This is a quota-carrying role which will have leadership responsibility for the development and execution of winning sales strategies for NCRs industry-leading portfolio ofself/assisted-servicehardware, software, professional services, consulting services, and support services solutions.
This position will have day-to-day leadership responsibility across all NCR solutions and activities in the assigned account(s), and is not focused on specific solution sets or activities of NCR.
Develop and maintain relationships with executive members of strategic client organizations
Serve as a liaison between members of NCR executive management and the client organization(s), and thus will have frequent and direct involvement with NCRs Executive Leadership Team, including CEO-level activities.
Create high-performing team in a matrix management environment where team members are motivated to perform at their fullest potential and creatively drive customer solutions.
Manage sales and business results in the account(s) as if operating their own business, while acting in the best interest of the company at-large.
Plan and direct all direct sales activities as well as supporting activities such as account planning, forecasting, executive mapping, and managing accounts receivables.
Manage the team’s sales efforts to ensure that the appropriate activities are properly executed to create demand for NCR solutions
Gain customer commitment, build momentum and accelerate the sales cycle.
Work with sales specialists to map out the key players in the account who are involved in the decision making process, and strategize on implementing an appropriate account/opportunity plan utilizing a consultative selling approach.
Ensure that the sales specialists understand the political relationships between members of the organization and the impact on buying behaviors in order to determine the most appropriate sales approach at each level of the organization.
Develop a competitive sales strategy that anticipates competitor’s actions and utilizes effective tactics to out maneuver the competition and enable NCR to be better positioned to meet the customer’s objectives.
Cultivate, develop and reinforce effective selling techniques that will enable his/her people to grow their business in a profitable and fair manner.
Utilize a structured approach for identifying and measuring the quality of potential new business
Analyze creation of solution offer and proposal development to ensure it promotes value based pricing.
Bachelor Degree or equivalent experience
10 years of related experience selling into the Financial Services industry
Experience selling software applications and support services
Successful experience in value proposition and business case led selling
Demonstrated performance and ability to sell value through a Consultative Selling approach
Strong communication, creative thinking and presentation skills
Ability to develop senior level business relationships with account prospects
Available for up to 50% travel
