Summary: Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating CNC machine; maintains quality and safety standards, keeps records; maintains equipment and supplies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned):

  • Ability to design and fixture complicated setups on manual and CNC machines.

  • Ability to calculate speeds and feeds for multiple materials

  • Ability to read and understand drawings.

  • Working knowledge of the following machines:

  • Mill, manual and CNC

  • Lathe, manual and CNC

  • Saws

  • EDM, wire and sinker

  • Surface grinders

  • Machine parts to print and/or other special requirements.

  • Clean parts and inspect per Work Order and Work Instructions.

  • Responsible for working in compliance to all Quality Management Systems.

  • Responsible for keeping shop and machines clean.

  • Responsible for selecting tooling for specific applications.

  • Perform supplementary tasks as required by the department supervisor.

  • Demonstrates commitment to Stratasys Core Values by leading, acting and behaving in a manner consistent with these values.

  • Follows all company safety policies and procedures and attend all safety trainings related to the job.

Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

  • 3 or more years experience running CNC machine and other various machine shop equipment.

  • Ability to prgram machines.

  • Advanced knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric dimensions and tolerances.

  • Excellent problem solving abilities.

  • Math and computer skills to include: Solidview, MasterCam and G-code.

  • Full understanding of manual and CNC machines and machining practices.

  • Good mechanical aptitude and craftsmanship.

  • Attention to detail.

  • Computer experience with Microsoft Office programs and email.

  • Ability to work well with others.

  • Candidate must be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • No direct reports

Physical/Environmental Requirements:

  • Machine Shop environment; may entail loud noises, working near moving mechanical parts, and some exposure to fumes and airborne particles.

  • Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include clear vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
