CVS Health Solutions Architecture and Estimations Manager in Texas

Job Description

The Manager Solutions Architecture and Estimations is responsible for ensuring that effective IT solutions are identified and accurate estimates are produced on a timely basis. This person will lead a team of solution architects, and will work directly with business partners and across all IT organizations to deliver results. This person will drive ongoing process maturation and improvement and lead the team and broader organization to a more effective utilization of the estimation function in a product-centric world.Responsibilities include: - Manage intake of required estimations.- Ensure effective solutions are identified and accurate estimates produced in timely fashion.- Drive ongoing process maturation and improvement.- Maintain effective relationships across IT and with key business units.- Inspire, coach and mentor staff, including writing and delivering annual performance reviews.- Hire and termination of staff .- Establish and report on project and service level metrics to ensure that work is delivered efficiently, effectively and that processes are continually improved for both the internal and external customer.- Work cross functionally to maximize reuse of work and data, share knowledge and expertise, identify opportunities to streamline and improve the consistency of work processes, and effectively support work efforts that span multiple applications areas.- Think and act strategically in alignment with corporate and IT goals and strategies

Required Qualifications

5+ years of overall IT experience, ideally including the following:- Excellent communications skills and proven ability to communicate effectively with senior management and business leaders- Demonstrated strong leadership skills.- Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement.- Strong initiative, accountability, task management, follow-through

Preferred Qualifications

  • PBM, Healthcare experience.- Experience leading an estimation function or team with significant estimation responsibilities.- Strong conceptual thinking skills with an ability to proactively problem solve, recommend solutions and intuitively prioritize the team’s workload.- Experience in the development and management of an annual budget, including financial analysis.- Knowledge of CVS' PBM IT applications, particularly RxClaim Adjudication and the SDLC.- Proven leadership skills around resource planning, delegating, coaching and team development.- Ability to develop a team committed to customer service.- Microsoft office suite with marked proficiency using Excel.


Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field. Will accept a verifiable H.S. diploma / GED with one year of relevant work experience for every year of college not attained in addition to required years of experience in leu of Bachelors .
