The Director, Marketing Campaign Strategy will plan, launch and execute amazing omni-channel campaigns through leading a cross-functional planning team. The Director, Marketing Strategy Campaign owns the strategic planning and execution - from building the campaign calendar to collaborating with media channel partners to partnering with internal partners to request campaign assets to sending a campaign to internal teams for implementation. This position is both strategic and tactical in scope, requiring the Director, Marketing Campaign Strategy to understand the brands marketing goals at a high level and diagnosing the tactical needs and steps to deliver on the overall campaign objectives and business KPIs. The Director, Marketing Campaign Strategy will develop and execute multi-channel marketing programs to enhance awareness, meet business objectives and grow revenue. The Director, Marketing Campaign Strategy will be an expert communicator able to effectively work with marketing and communications partners, as well as other key business leaders .

Primary Responsibilities

  • Leads the strategic planning, launching and execution of customer first campaign planning initiatives for Conn’s HomePlus

  • Leads and manages campaigns, content, promotion, and offer planning within marketing team and cross-functional partners including Merchants, Ecommerce, Credit, Compliance and Retail

  • Creates campaigns that support marketing roadmap initiatives through thoughtful and collaborative proactive planning while being able to lead teams to reach with speed and precision on short-term opportunities

  • Manages campaigns that deliver on upper funnel [brand messaging, calls to action] and lower funnel [direct response, conversion] campaign tactics and can drive discussions on how efforts will support

  • Partners with Marketing Leadership to define metrics and measures of success of campaigns ensuring alignment with marketing strategy roadmap

  • Leads the development of annual/seasonal business objectives and help to detail and document proposed marketing activities to support the major events and moments

  • Manage the promotional calendars, detailing prescribed marketing activity for the season/year across marketing channels, including the timely distribution of updates to the corresponding stakeholders

  • Partners with Marketing Leadership to determine and set budgets for campaigns and projects

  • Work with internal and external partners to manage status of projects, delivery against business goals, and track changes to marketing strategies

  • Recommend any opportunities for market share enhancement, effectiveness and efficiencies including monitoring competitor products, sales and marketing activities

  • Authors briefs and leads team to initiate workflow process with the Creative team and/or external agencies

  • Demonstrates diligence, attention to detail and establishment of best practices throughout the full marketing campaign life cycle

  • Maintain and organize campaign-specific materials, briefs, schedules and recaps in team’s shared document repository

  • Prepares Senior Leadership Team level presentations and plans on a regular basis

  • Develop, grow, and maintain relationships with internal teams through exceptional collaboration and leadership

  • Helps manage and the lead the delivery of campaign artifacts, and all relevant campaign documentation in preparation for campaign launch

  • Partner with Analytics team on campaign measurement reporting and insights generation

  • Provide regular insights to clients detailing performance, campaign optimizations, and new opportunities

  • Works with media team to ensure accurate platform implementation including compiling visual execution recaps

  • Troubleshoot issues on all pre-production and live campaigns

  • Provide campaign wrap-up reports highlighting wins, learnings and opportunities for improvement


  • At least 6 years of traditional and digital marketing experience; preferably in retail and/or agency

  • Strong leadership, teamwork and leadership management skills, including demonstrated track record of working across functional lines

  • Is an expert at developing and executing marketing plans and campaigns

  • Has a proven track record of achieving ROI through optimization of large-scale marketing campaigns

  • Is a strong, decisive project manager able to multitask and prioritize concurrent projects

  • Displays excellent written and verbal communication skills both in a collaborative office environment and virtually as needed

  • Holds a bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field or has equivalent work experience
