At Home Healthcare Regional Director of Sales - Home Health in Tyler, Texas

As the Regional Director of Sales you are responsible for driving growth and market penetration in existing and new markets. You will lead our team of Account Managers in the East Texas market for both Adult Care (Medicare home health) and pediatric home health. This role reports to the EVP of Sales and Marketing.


  • Prepares, and upon approval implements marketing strategies and objectives aligned with agency business goals and objectives. Plans and directs development and communication of agency’s programs and accomplishments.

  • Ensure existing business segment growth and service, maintaining the targeted retention rate and sales goals.

  • Promotes agency services through community programs in presentations, speaking engagements, committee assignments, and memberships. Serves as a role model in the community for raising awareness of health care services.

  • Maintains active regular contact with Physicians, hospitals, public health agencies, nurses (and their associations), state and county medical societies, and similar groups and institutions to apprise them of the availability of covered services by the agency.

  • Responsible for recruiting, interviewing, hiring, counseling, and terminations of assigned positions. Consults with Corporate Human Resources prior to making hiring or termination decisions.

  • Facilitates training and provides education to staff in clinical procedures and new Sales techniques. Coordinates all in-service training, orientation, and performance evaluations for staff, and communicates schedules to staff as appropriate.

  • Develops and maintains a current contact list of all referral sources; targets potential referral sources for the agency. Identifies and regularly contacts potential referral sources.

  • Provides oversight and coordination for programs to obtain clinical and staff updates; assists in marketing specialty program services.

  • Research and gather information to predict market characteristics, measure market potential, and compile a market share analysis. Regularly provides Program Directors and managers with research and statistical marketing reports for each geographic location serviced or identified for services.

  • Works in conjunction with the Clinical programs to develop and maintain current service information, education brochures, and referral source distribution.

  • Provides internal marketing education to home care departments and branch offices; provides external education to network departments in order to broaden awareness of agency services and increase referral base.

  • Attends Marketing and Managed Care departmental meetings at network hospitals as scheduled

  • Attends or leads meetings and training sessions as required.

  • Accurately prepares and proofreads correspondence, letter, memos, spreadsheets, and other reports.

  • Performs other duties and tasks as requested by supervisor.


  • Bachelor’s degree in business or equivalent experience.

  • Minimum of two years successful sales leadership experience with Medicare home health.

  • Must have and maintain current valid Texas Driver’s License and provide proof of current auto liability insurance.

  • Proficient professional public speaking skills required; required to deliver presentations to groups and effectively present materials during speaking engagement.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and remain flexible as priorities change.

  • Ability to work effectively under minimal supervision; exercise excellent, sound professional judgment and maintain confidentiality.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft office products and relevant industry CRM/software tools.
