Baylor Scott & White Health Radiologic Technologist Clinic/SW Sports Medicine in Waco, Texas
The Radiologic Clinic Technologist performs Diagnostic and/or Fluoroscopic Imaging procedures on ambulatory patients in a Physician Office, or Clinic Setting as requested by a physician or other licensed provider and under general supervision of a Radiologist. The Radiologic Clinic Technologist must be able to effectively explain the procedure to the patient and be sure they are comfortable and at ease during the exam and provide care to the patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by a Radiologist. The Radiologic Clinic Technologist identifies patient service requirements by utilizing AIDET when communicating with patients to ensure they perform the correct exam on the correct patient, establishing personal rapport with potential and actual patients and other persons in a position to understand the service requirements. The Radiologic Clinic Technologist complies with federal, state, and local legal and professional requirements, enforces adherence to requirements; advises management on needed actions. The Radiologic Clinic Technologist prepares patient for radiological procedure by positioning patient; adjusting immobilization devices; moving equipment into specified position; adjusting equipment controls to set exposure factors. The Radiologic Clinic Technologist reports any loss, damage, or unusual events associated with personal monitoring device immediately to the Radiation Safety Office. The Radiologic Clinic Technologist protects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols; following drug protocols in case of reactions to drugs, such as contrast media, administering first aid, and using the emergency cart. The Radiologic Clinic Technologist instructs/communicates with patient and/or patient's family (as appropriate) regarding the tests to be performed and assesses the patient's ability to tolerate exam . The Radiologic Clinic Technologist assures that images and records are properly completed in RIS and PACS with patient identification data and appropriate labeling.
The ideal Candidate for The Radiologic Clinic Technologist must be able to provide services in a timely, accurate, and cost-efficient manner in compliance with established System and regulatory standards, policies and procedures.

Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT) License
